For many teams Friday will be the second round of NSCIF playoffs. For teams like Pleasant Valley and Foothill in D-II, it will be their first game of section playoffs after first-round byes. For many others it will be second round semifinal matchups, and in Division IV the matchup between Winters and East Nicolaus is the division’s Northern Section championship. That game has been moved to Saturday at 1 p.m.; Northern Section commissioner Scott Johnson confirmed there was a mutual agreement between the two programs, who felt with a section championship on the line, they would get better break in weather with Winters’ home field being on grass. Johnson added that five of the seven games scheduled for this weekend will be played on grass fields — Pleasant Valley and Foothill’s fields in Division II the only exceptions — and that all schools are communicating with everyone involved. Johnson said teams could opt to move the games as late as Friday morning to a later date or change of time, as long as enough time is given to all involved including media, officials, MaxPreps, section officials and others. As of Thursday at 12:30 p.m., the only other change that has been made is that in Division III: No. 5 Gridley (8-3) playing at No. 1 Lassen (8-3) has been moved from 7 p.m. to 6 p.m. “We’re trying to stay status quo,” Johnson said. Kicking off in D-II, No. 1 Pleasant Valley (7-3) hosts No. 4 Enterprise (8-3) at 7 p.m. at Asgard Yard in Chico. The Vikings received a first-round bye while the Hornets came from behind to defeat Shasta 26-20 in the quarterfinals. The Hornets outscored Shasta 20-0 in the second half to advance. In the regular season Enterprise and PV faced off on Nov. 1 in another rainy game, and the Vikings defeated the Hornets 38-17. PV threw for three touchdowns and ran for two in that game. Lucas Benson had 19 carries for 156 yards and one TD in addition to a 19-yard TD pass, and QB Joseph Garcia threw for 149 yards and two TDs. Enterprise QB JJ Johnson threw for 226 yards and two TDs, was intercepted once, but the Vikings limited the dual-threat quarterback to just four carries for 22 yards. On the bottom half of the D-II bracket, No. 2 Foothill (7-3) hosts No. 3 Red Bluff (9-2) at 7 p.m. in Palo Cedro. This game very well could have been in Red Bluff had the coach’s committee not made a mistake at the seeding meeting. The two teams enter having different momentum shifts. After Foothill began its season having won six of its first seven, the Cougars lost two of three to close out their season. Meanwhile Red Bluff, which lost 29-26 at home against Foothill on Oct. 18, has won four straight since the loss. During the regular season matchup the Cougars and Spartans were tied at 14-14 at halftime, and after a scoreless third quarter the Cougars scored in the final two minutes and sealed the win with a 2-point conversion. Red Bluff defeated No. 6 Las Plumas 42-0 in the opening round, while Foothill’s last game played before the bye week was a 32-13 loss to Enterprise on Nov. 8. Kicking off at 7 p.m., No. 2 Orland (9-2) and No. 6 Corning (5-6) face off for a second time this season in Orland. The first game between the Trojans and Cardinals was played in the rain on Orland’s grass field, and the forecast shows this will likely be the case once again. The Trojans defeated the Cardinals 34-14 on Nov. 1. After that game Corning coach John Studer said the conditions favor Orland’s downhill run game, whereas Corning likes to get to the edge more and cut, which can be hard on muddy field conditions. Corning upset No. 3 Yreka 24-20 last week, after being down 20-3 at one point. Orland is coming off a 42-6 win against No. 7 Pierce, in which quarterback Luke Schager set a new single-game rushing record for Orland football with 417 yards and four TDs. The Trojans’ defense shut out the Bears, with their lone score coming on a fumble returned for a TD. The D-III section championship will be held at 7 p.m. Nov. 30 at the higher seed’s home field. No. 1 Winters (11-0) looks to stay undefeated when it hosts No. 2 East Nicolaus (7-4) for the NSCIF D-IV championship Saturday. Winters defeated No. 4 Hamilton 48-0 in the first round, while East Nicolaus defeated No. 3 Durham 40-28. The Warriors have seven of their 11 games via shutout, including defeating East Nicolaus 48-0 on Oct. 18 in Winters, and outscored their opponents 429-43. East Nicolaus has won three straight and outscored its opponents 312-235. While the D-II and D-III section championship games are held Nov. 30, the D-V section championship game is held the day before Thanksgiving on Nov. 27. The biggest implication this has for Friday’s games is that the two D-V semifinals must go on as scheduled (with the exception of lightning cancelling) to give teams time to prepare, whereas in other divisions games could be pushed towards future dates. No. 4 Los Molinos (6-5) hosts No. 8 Weed (5-6) at 7 p.m. in Los Molinos. Weed upset No. 1 Biggs in the quarterfinals 16-14, while Los Molinos defeated No. 5 Modoc 68-37. The Cougars and Bulldogs did not face off in the regular season. In the bottom half of the bracket, No. 2 Maxwell (10-1) hosts No. 6 Redding Christian (6-5) at 7 p.m. in Maxwell. Redding Christian upset No. 3 Etna 29-0, while Maxwell defeated No. 7 Fall River 41-30. Maxwell defeated Redding Christian 44-14 in both teams’ third game of the regular season on Sept. 13 in Redding. The winners of both games will face off at 7 p.m. Nov. 27 at the higher seed’s home field.anjali and sufi

Queens Wrongful Death Attorney Keetick L. Sanchez Publishes Comprehensive Article on Wrongful Death in Queens 11-25-2024 10:18 PM CET | Politics, Law & Society Press release from: ABNewswire Queens wrongful death attorney [ https://accidentlawyer-queens.com/wrongful-death-attorney/ ] Keetick L. Sanchez of K L Sanchez Law Office, P.C. has unveiled an insightful article on the complexities surrounding wrongful death claims in Queens. This piece provides a comprehensive overview of the legal landscape for families seeking justice after losing a loved one due to negligence or criminal actions. The article by Queens wrongful death attorney Keetick L. Sanchez highlights the profound impact of wrongful death claims, emphasizing that while financial compensation cannot replace a loved one, it can help alleviate some of the economic burdens left behind. According to Sanchez, wrongful death occurs when a person dies due to another's negligent or intentional acts, and it allows family members to claim compensation for their losses. In New York, wrongful death lawsuits can be initiated by specific family members or a personal representative of the deceased's estate. The Queens wrongful death attorney explains that these claims can arise from various situations including medical malpractice, motor vehicle accidents, and defective products. However, not all family members are eligible to file; typically, this right is reserved for the deceased's spouse, children, or parents. Sanchez elaborates, "It's crucial for families to understand who can file a wrongful death lawsuit and what constitutes a valid claim in Queens. Seeking legal counsel early can clarify these questions and assist families in handling this difficult process." Proving a wrongful death case involves demonstrating negligence. This includes establishing that the defendant owed a duty of care to the deceased, that this duty was breached, and that the breach directly caused the death. If successful, families may recover damages for pain and suffering endured by the deceased, medical expenses, funeral costs, and loss of income. The article outlines the potential benefits of pursuing a wrongful death lawsuit, such as holding the responsible party accountable and obtaining financial relief for outstanding costs. However, Sanchez acknowledges the emotional difficulty involved in these cases, noting, "While discussing the details of a loved one's death can be painful, pursuing a claim can provide a sense of justice and financial support during a challenging time." Queens wrongful death attorney Keetick L. Sanchez also addresses potential complications, such as shared liability in accidents, which might affect the compensation amount. In New York's comparative negligence system, if the deceased is found partially responsible, the damages awarded may be reduced accordingly. Determining compensation involves assessing both economic and non-economic losses. Economic losses might include lost wages and funeral expenses, while non-economic losses cover aspects like loss of companionship and emotional suffering. Sanchez emphasizes the importance of working with experienced attorneys who can accurately quantify these damages, often with the help of economists and financial analysts. For families considering a wrongful death claim, seeking legal guidance promptly is crucial due to the two-year statute of limitations in New York. Sanchez advises, "Consulting with an experienced wrongful death attorney can provide clarity on one's rights and help make informed decisions about pursuing a claim." MALIBU, Calif. (AP) — The wildfire alert came in the middle of the night as some college students in Southern California were cramming for final exams and others were woken up in their dorms. But rather than run away from the impending blaze, some 3,000 students at Pepperdine University headed toward two buildings at the heart of the 830-acre (336 hectare) campus in coastal Malibu, California, to shelter in place. The protocol at the Christian university with picturesque views of the Pacific Ocean may seem to defy logic to those accustomed to scenes elsewhere in wildfire-prone California of thousands of residents evacuating fire zones in lengthy caravans of cars. For years, the university nestled in the foothills of the Santa Monica Mountains has had a special protocol due to its unique terrain and design that calls for students to be brought to a library and campus center where they can get food and water and have their basic needs met, said Michael Friel, a Pepperdine spokesperson. The school began preparing students and community members on what to do in case of a wildfire during new student orientation at the beginning of the academic year. When the fire broke out Monday night, school officials started communicating with students around 11 p.m. and activated the shelter-in-place protocol about two hours later, spreading the word through text messages, email, social media and by going door to door. “A lot of our students were woken up by a knock on the door, and we made sure they were aware of the conditions and we were able to get them out of harm’s way,” Friel said. The quickly moved south, jumping over the famous Pacific Coast Highway and stretching to the coast, where large homes line the beach. Thousands of Southern California residents were under evacuation orders and warnings Tuesday with more than 8,100 homes and other structures under threat. County fire officials estimated that more than 3.5 square miles (9 square kilometers) of trees and dry brush had burned amid dangerous conditions fanned by dry, gusty that were expected to last into Wednesday. The cause of the fire was not immediately known. Ryan Song, a resident assistant at Pepperdine University, said he noticed the power went out at his dorm late Monday. When he looked out the window, he saw a huge pink glow. “I thought, ‘This is too bright,’ and it got bigger and bigger,” the 20-year-old junior said. “I immediately went outside and saw that it was a real fire.” Song and the other assistants went door to door to get students out. Most were calm and followed instructions, he said; a few who were scared rushed to their cars to get off campus. Song said he spent the next few hours racing back and forth in the dark between his dorm and the main campus to ensure no one was left behind. Pepperdine University officials said the campus was designed in the 1960s with fire safety in mind due to the region’s experience with wildfires. Buildings were clustered together and covered in stucco while roadways were constructed to make it easy for firefighters to get in, said Phil Phillips, the school’s executive vice president. During the 1990s, campus officials worked with Los Angeles County fire authorities to develop a safety plan, and authorities said the safest option for students would be to remain on campus. The school is diligent about brush clearance and has a plan to reduce smoke in shelter-in-place locations by taping shut doors and using air filters, he said. The nearby stretch of the Pacific Coast Highway can also become congested during an emergency, Phillips said, such as during the deadly in 2018. “What you don’t want is to be stuck,” said Phillips, who has been at the campus for three decades — including as a student — and said he has been through seven fires. “Protecting our students, providing for their safety is a moral obligation for us, so we take it really, really seriously.” On Tuesday, heavy smoke from the Franklin Fire, burning northeast of the school, billowed over the campus 29 miles (47 kilometers) west of Los Angeles, and classes were cancelled and final exams postponed. Firefighters had not contained any part of the blaze as of Tuesday afternoon. The campus was singed but no injuries were reported, and only one structure possibly was minimally damaged thanks to firefighters’ hard work and collaboration from students, faculty and others on campus, Friel said. Jim Gash, the college’s president, said the campus was no longer threatened on Tuesday afternoon. “I am grateful that through prayer, preparation, and cooperation, our Pepperdine community safely navigated the challenges encountered over the last 12 hours,” Gash said in a statement. “Our prayers continue to go out to the Malibu community.” ___ Taxin reported from Santa Ana, Calif. Foundation launches femicide tracker for 16 days of activism against GBVIowa moves on without injured quarterback Brendan Sullivan when the Hawkeyes visit Maryland for a Big Ten Conference contest on Saturday afternoon. Former starter Cade McNamara is not ready to return from a concussion, so Iowa (6-4, 4-3) turns to former walk-on and fourth-stringer Jackson Stratton to lead the offense in College Park, Md. "Confident that he'll do a great job," Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz said of Stratton on his weekly radio show. "He stepped in, did a really nice job in our last ballgame. And he's got a good ability to throw the football, and he's learning every day. ... We'll go with him and see what we can do." Iowa had been on an upswing with Sullivan, who had sparked the Hawkeyes to convincing wins over Northwestern and Wisconsin before suffering an ankle injury in a 20-17 loss at UCLA on Nov. 8. Stratton came on in relief against the Bruins and completed 3 of 6 passes for 28 yards. Another storyline for Saturday is that Ferentz will be opposing his son, Brian Ferentz, an assistant at Maryland. Brian Ferentz was Iowa's offensive coordinator from 2017-23. "We've all got business to take care of on Saturday," Kirk Ferentz said. "I think his experience has been good and everything I know about it. As a parent, I'm glad he's with good people." Maryland (4-6, 1-6) needs a win to keep its hopes alive for a fourth straight bowl appearance under Mike Locksley. The Terrapins have dropped five of their last six games, all by at least 14 points, including a 31-17 loss at home to Rutgers last weekend. "It's been a challenging last few weeks to say the least," Locksley said. The challenge this week will be to stop Iowa running back Kaleb Johnson, who leads the Big Ten in rushing yards (1,328) and touchdowns (20), averaging 7.1 yards per carry. "With running backs, it's not always about speed. It's about power, vision and the ability to make something out of nothing," Locksley said. "This guy is a load and runs behind his pads." Maryland answers with quarterback Billy Edwards Jr., who leads the Big Ten in passing yards per game (285.5) and completions (268). His top target is Tai Felton, who leads the conference in catches (86) and receiving yards (1,040). --Field Level Media

Our Experts With 5+ years of mattress testing experience, we use our different sleeping position and body type perspectives to offer well-rounded, honest reviews. Score Breakdown Pros and Cons Editor's Note Purple has discontinued the Purple Hybrid and Premier mattresses. They are no longer available for purchase. To read more on the mattresses Purple does have available check out our review on the new Purple line and the Purple mattress. You can view our sleep expert’s full list of the Best Hybrid Mattresses here . Though Purple has discontinued the Purple Hybrid and Premier mattresses, you may still spot them for sale from other retailers. If you’ve got your eye on one, this review covers the differences between the hybrid options and will show who might like which hybrid beds better. The Purple Hybrid is the thinnest of the hybrid options and it's 11 inches thick. It's also firmer than the other two models and is ideal for back or stomach sleepers . With that said, it's the most affordable mattress from the Purple Hybrid series. The Purple Hybrid Premier 3 is 12 inches thick with a thicker Hyper-Elastic Polymer comfort layer. This makes it feel a bit softer and lands around a medium to medium-firm on the scale. This bed is suitable for all types of sleeping positions, including side sleepers. The Purple Hybrid Premier 4 is the most expensive of the Purple hybrid beds, but it's a whopping 13 inches thick and is extra supportive. Like the Purple Hybrid Premier 3, it has a medium to medium-firm profile, and we think it would suit all body types. First impressions The Purple Hybrid incorporates purple detailing throughout the bed, a great touch for an avid lover of the color. The details in the cover give it a premium look, and you can tell it's a bit more heavy-duty than the flagship Purple mattress. The main thing people want to know about this mattress is what does the Purple feel like? Well, it's completely different from the innerspring mattress in the guest room at Grandma's, I'll tell you that much. It's a new concept for a bed that I think ended up working in the company's favor. Video: Purple Hybrid Mattress Review Watch CNET video producer Owen Poole review the Purple Hybrid mattress. Purple Hybrid mattress firmness and feel Regardless of the model you get, the Purple Hybrid mattresses are soft and airy without feeling like foam. When you run your hand down the center of the mattress, you can feel the squishy squares bend and morph underneath. It's not super noticeable when you're laying down, it just feels buoyant like you're floating on your back or laying on a hammock. Though, it's also really supportive because of the thick layer of individually wrapped coils, which I'll explain more below. If you're curious about the Purple Hybrid but you aren't willing to explore unconventional ways of bedding, you might want to look elsewhere. But if you're open to a mattress that takes pressure off your hips, shoulders and back while simultaneously making you feel weightless, you might be pleased with its benefits. The Purple Hybrid 2 simultaneously feels pressure-relieving and supportive, while maintaining a slightly firmer profile; I think it's around a medium-firm, or 7 out of 10 on the firmness scale . The soft squares don't push into your hips and shoulders when you're on your side like your typical firm bed, but my back and spine feel very reinforced above the bed's Hyper-Elastic Polymer layer. I think it's a tad bit firmer than the Original Purple mattress . The brand's two upper-level hybrid beds have the same signature Purple feel, but they have a slightly softer profile because of their thicker layers of Hyper-Elastic Polymer. I think they both land in between a medium to medium-firm, or around a 6 on the firmness scale . Purple Hybrid mattress construction The Purple Hybrid comes in three different models, each with a different thickness of the Purple Grid gel layer. The Purple Hybrid is four layers thick and around 11 inches tall . Here's a simple breakdown of the bed's layers so you get an idea of what makes Purple, Purple: On top is the Purple's "StretchMax" cover, and just like the name implies, it's extra-stretchy. I think it feels more breathable than your typical mattress cover and compare the feel more to an athletic antisweat undergarment than a soft cotton top. The two Purple Hybrid Premier beds are the top-tier mattress options from the brand. Really, the only major differences in construction are the top layers. The Purple 3 has a 3-inch layer of Hyper-Elastic Polymer at the top, while Purple 4 has 4 inches. It doesn't make a huge difference in feel, but they are softer than the Purple Hybrid. Purple Hybrid mattress performance Motion isolation isn't usually an innerspring bed's forte, but with the wrapped coils and special material you find in the Purple Hybrid mattress, it's a different story. I think it's pretty good at isolating motion, even if it is a super-bouncy bed. It virtually makes no noise, and you'll hardly be able to notice your partner moving around on the other side. The Purple Hybrid mattresses are constructed with firm foam around the edges to hold your body up more firmly if you tend to creep towards the side of the bed during the night. As a result, I give edge support capabilities on this mattress two enthusiastic thumbs up. The other benefit of the Purple Grid besides bouncy comfort would have to be its temperature-regulating abilities. It's not designed with any fancy cooling material, but instead, the Purple Grid's natural breathable design makes it one of the best mattresses for allowing airflow. It also doesn't retain heat like memory foam or poly foam might, making it an appealing mattress for hot sleepers like me who need the additional cooling relief. It's not cold to the touch, but I really don't feel hot while sleeping on the Purple. The Purple Hybrid is made with Purple's GelFlex Grid and strong, steel individually wrapped coil layers. The GelFlex Grid can be stretched up to 15 times its size, while its steel coils make a strong and supportive base layer. All of this is to say the Purple Hybrid is a durable mattress that should last around eight to 12 years. Just make sure you rotate it every six months (rotate the head of the mattress to the foot) to ensure your weight is distributed evenly throughout the bed over the years. One downside of bed-in-a-box beds is their off-gassing smell. I compare it to the smell of a new car. It comes with the territory since these mattress foams are compressed and wrapped in plastic after manufacturing. If you notice an unpleasant, plastic-y smell coming from your bed after opening, don't worry. It should dissipate in a day or two after it airs out. Purple Hybrid's ideal sleeping positions and body types You wouldn't expect to fit in every shirt size at your favorite clothing store, and you shouldn't assume every mattress is accommodating for you. Especially since there are so many different options to pick from. Generally, your perfect mattress comes down to your body type and your favorite position to sleep in. The Purple Hybrid mattress is ideal for stomach and back sleepers because it properly supports the back, shoulders and hips. The primary sleeping positions are side, stomach, back or a combination of them all. I think the Purple Hybrid will work best for back and stomach sleepers because of its firmer, more supportive profile. Although, heavier side sleepers over 230 pounds will find the bed more accommodating and pressure relieving. If you're a side sleeper under 230 pounds and really want the Purple Hybrid mattress, I'd opt for one of the Purple Premier mattresses or the flagship Purple mattress . They are a bit softer and more pressure-relieving than the standard hybrid model, which will be more of a benefit to your sides and shoulders. Regardless of your body type, whether you weigh 105 pounds or 250 pounds, I think the Purple Hybrid beds will be perfectly suitable for you. The Purple Hybrid mattresses are great for all body types because they are more supportive than typical foam beds like the Nectar mattress or the Casper mattress . They have that layer of steel wrapped coils on the bottom, and if you think about it, steel is much more durable than foam. The difference in how this mattress will hold up over time compared to an all-foam bed will be especially noticeable over the course of 10 years. Purple Hybrid mattress price The Purple Hybrid mattress is more expensive than the original Purple, of course, and isn't the best for people who are trying to spend as little as they can on a new bed. If you're looking to invest in your night's sleep, though, it's very possible you see it as a reasonable price. Purple Hybrid mattress pricing The standard Purple Hybrid mattress is available in sizes from twin XL to California king . Prices start at $1,299 and go all the way up to $1,899. Like other mattress brands, Purple often runs promotions so you can regularly cash in on hundreds off the ticket price. The Purple Hybrid mattress has metal coils encased in foam to offer support and softness. Purple's shipping, trial and warranty Every online mattress company tries to sweeten the deal with a few extra perks to make buying more worth your while, including shipping and a sleep trial. You'll get free shipping right to your front door, but the type of shipping depends on the bed you get. If you get a Purple Hybrid, you'll get standard free shipping. For the Purple Hybrid Premier beds, you'll actually get free white-glove delivery, and they'll set up your mattress in-home for you. You'll have a solid 100 nights to test out your bed. If by night 99 you find you hate it, you can get a full refund. In case of a manufacturer defect, Purple backs its mattresses with a 10-year limited warranty. Who will and who won't like the Purple Hybrid You came to this Purple Hybrid review for answers and we're here to give them to you. Here are the types of people we would and wouldn't recommend the Purple Hybrid to. Who might like the Purple Hybrid: Who might not like Purple Hybrid: Other mattresses from Purple Purple : The Purple mattress is the brand's original bed. It's made with three layers, including the brand's bread and butter, the GelFlex Grid. It's rated around a medium on the firmness scale, making it accommodating for all sleeping positions. This bed is best for people who weigh under 230 pounds. Purple Plus : Purple expanded its catalog to offer a bed similar to the original Purple with one more added layer of cushioning for an even plusher, softer feel. It also neutralizes the bounce of the Purple, making the bed feel a little more like a traditional foam bed. The GelFlex Grid typically adds a responsive, springy feel thanks to its gel-like consistency. How does the Purple Hybrid compare to other beds? Purple Hybrid vs. Casper Wave : The Casper Wave mattress has a traditional mattress feel that's more like neutral-foam instead of memory foam. It's quite responsive, and is a generally comfortable bed that most people will enjoy. It's a thick, premium mattress designed with strong individually wrapped coils and multiple zoned layers to provide targeted support to your lumbar region and pressure relief to your shoulders. It's a little softer than the Purple Hybrid beds, rated around a 5 out of 10 on the scale. Purple Hybrid vs. Saatva : The Saatva mattress is among the handful of beds that contain multiple layers of coils. This makes it incredibly durable and supportive. It's also designed with a Lumbar Zone Active Spinal Wire to promote a properly aligned spine. Unlike Purple Hybrid, the Saatva Classic is available in two different height profiles and three firmness levels. The Purple 2 Hybrid is 11 inches thick, the Purple Hybrid Premier 3 mattress is 12 inches thick, and the Purple Hybrid Premier 4 mattress is 13 inches thick. If you're interested in trying a new mattress technology, something unique that's never been done before, the Purple Hybrids will be worth it. They truly make you feel like you're floating. It's a weightless and pressure-relieving experience that also keeps you supported at the same time. They're suitable for all body types, and can appeal to a wide range of sleeping positions. Side sleepers may want to check out the Purple Hybrid Premier 3 or 4 because these beds have a softer, more pressure-relieving profile than the base Purple Hybrid mattress. Side sleepers typically want soft to medium-firm mattresses that give underneath the shoulders and hips. After Trump’s win, Black women are rethinking their role as America’s reliable political organizers

JUVENTUS stewards rubbed salt into Manchester City fans' wounds - by forcing them to stay until the bitter end of their latest defeat in Turin. Pep Guardiola's side were comprehensively beaten 2-0 in northern Italy as their horror run of form continued. And, as City's near 2,000 away fans considered making an early exit during the second half the Allianz Stadium's PA announcer told them otherwise. This game – played in the shadow of the Alps - showed just how far they have fallen since the end of October. And City supporters were kept from sneaking into the comfort of their hotels, after being forced to stay behind and watch the home side gloat. A journalist in the stadium wrote on X: "Man City fans trying to leave the Juventus Stadium have just been told over loudspeaker that they have to stay until they're allowed out. Brutal." But it is common practice for away fans to be kept back for a while to prevent any fan disturbances, with that unspoken rule particularly prevalent in Italian fixtures. Yet the City team and manager have more pressing issues at hand as they stand on the brink of Champions League elimination. It's just eight points from six games in Europe this season, with Guardiola's side dropping from 17th to 22nd in the standings - with the top 24 go through. They've lost SEVEN of their last 1O games in all competitions, with Manchester United travelling to the Etihad in the Prem on Sunday. FOOTBALL FREE BETS AND SIGN UP DEALS Wednesday night's loss makes it the club's worse run since the days of Stuart Pearce in 2009. City have two European games remaining to get themselves through against Paris Saint-Germain and Club Brugge at home. Dusan Vlahovic 's header opened the scoring for Juventus as City failed to clear in the 53rd minute. While former Prem loanee with Leeds Weston McKennie 's volley doubled their advantage on the break in the 75 minute. City host fierce rivals United, who play in the Europa League tomorrow, in the Manchester derby on Sunday. Those in ninth to 24th enter a round of two-legged play-offs in February, with the winners taking the other eight spots in the last 16. Those who finish ninth to 16th will be seeded for the play-offs, so will have the second leg at home. Those from 17th to 24th will be unseeded, so have the first leg at home. Teams that finish anywhere from 25th to 36th will be eliminated from this season's competition, with no access to the Europa League.
