These contextual adjustments are based on all the training and the neural network of word relationships, and the changes are embedded into the vector. Step Three: Transformer Architecture The vector moves down the assembly line into a “transformer architecture.” It is a series of layers that make even more adjustments to the vector of numbers. Based on the previous training, the AI has learned and decided what words carry more weight. For example, in the sentence “Don’t put all your eggs in one” the word “eggs” matters more than “one.” Adjustments to the vector of numbers occur repeatedly to make sure context and meaning are close to everything it was trained on. A designated disability minister will be appointed to each Government department to “champion disability inclusion and accessibility”, the Government has announced. Work and pensions minister Sir Stephen Timms said the move aims to drive “real improvements” for disabled people, whom the ministers will be encouraged to engage with on a regular basis. This would see them placed horizontally, in an arrangement not seen on an Apple device since the iPhone 8. But is it all true? Fellow Forbes Contributor Paul Monckton reported on the details of the leak here , but while the latest report comes from Digital Chat Station, a Weibo user with a decent track record for accurate reports, there is still room for doubt, I’d say. The report says that the camera arrangement on one or more iPhone 17 models will be different from the current range. Instead of the square-with-round-corners placement of three lenses on the Pro models or the two vertically-placed cameras of the 16 and 16 Plus, we are led to expect a horizontal row of cameras. As Paul points out, it would mean an iPhone looking strikingly like the Google Pixel series. This has one big advantage: when the phone is on the table and you tap on it, it doesn’t wobble. But there are plenty of concerns with this suggested new look. First, Apple changed the iPhone design with the iPhone 16, by placing the cameras vertically instead of the previous diagonal arrangement. Apple almost never ditches a design after just one year. Exceptions to this include the very first iPhone, but there are few after that. I’d be surprised if the iPhone 17 changed its styling from the 16, other than for color. The firebombing of the Melbourne synagogue on Friday led to an immediate call from Mr Frydenberg to Mr Albanese to take action against rampant antisemitism in the country by declaring the attack on Friday a terrorist event. Mr Frydenberg said he welcomed the Prime Minister’s comments on the attack, but noted it had come "after the fact". DAMASCUS, Syria (AP) — Ousted Syrian leader Bashar Assad fled to Moscow and received asylum from his longtime ally, Russian media said Sunday, hours after a stunning rebel advance seized control of Damascus and ended his family’s 50 years of iron rule . Thousands of Syrians poured into streets echoing with celebratory gunfire and waved the revolutionary flag in scenes that recalled the early days of the Arab Spring uprising, before a brutal crackdown and the rise of an insurgency plunged the country into a nearly 14-year civil war. The swiftly moving events raised questions about the future of the country and the wider region. “Our approach has shifted the balance of power in the Middle East," President Joe Biden said , crediting action by the U.S. and its allies for weakening Syria’s backers — Russia, Iran and Hezbollah. He called the fall of Assad a “fundamental act of justice” but also a “moment of risk and uncertainty,” and said rebel groups are “saying the right things now” but the U.S. would assess their actions. Russia requested an emergency session of the U.N. Security Council to discuss Syria, according to Dmitry Polyansky, its deputy ambassador to the U.N., in a post on Telegram. The arrival of Assad and his family in Moscow was reported by Russian agencies Tass and RIA, citing an unidentified source at the Kremlin. A spokesman there didn't immediately respond to questions. RIA also said Syrian insurgents had guaranteed the security of Russian military bases and diplomatic posts in Syria. A man gunned down his sister in her home in Qasimpur. The suspect, identified as Zafar, went to his sister Amna's home and asked his brother-in-law to let him meet her separately. According to a complaint filed with the police, a bitter argument ensued between the siblings, after which the suspect opened fired with a pistol. The bullet hit the victim in the face. The woman's father-in-law Muhammad Sarwar and other relatives rushed inside the room and found her dead on the spot, while the suspect Zafar fled from the spot brandishing the weapon and hurling threats.
